July 19, 2008 China Rights Defender (www.315wqchina.com) was again shutdown in China. China Rights Defender's website says that it is produced by "Guangdong New Generation Data Center." Because of sensitive content, web monitors shut the site down. After investigating, web monitors concluded that a China Rights Defender article about a Jiangsu policeman is sensitive, and therefore the site was blocked.
After negotiations, the China Rights Defender website removed the article regarding the Jiangsu policeman and the site was allowed to be alive. Unfortunately, data was corrupted while the site was down and it still is not working properly.
All the web monitor needs to do is discover offensive material, and they can close the site with no prior warning or notice. When the offensive material is removed, then the site can be unblocked.
