Boxun reports that Shanghai's Yangpu District Detention Center is again inhumanely treating its detainees. This is the experience of rights defense activist Li Yufang in the four times she has been illegally detained according to her letter of complaint.

On Friday July 3 Li Yufang returned to Shangai from Beijing and was once again administratively detained by Daqiao police station for 10 days. A police officer surnamed Zhu (badge number: 039858) brought other prisoners into my cell to attack me. Another officer surnamed Li (badge number: 039191) grabbed my hair and dragged me to the hearing room. They asked me three questions: 1. Who did you got to Beijing with? 2.  You should consider the safety of your octogenarian mother and father-in-law; 3. You should consider the safety of your 9-year-old daughter and not go to Beijing anymore! Then they returned me to my cell. I was injured and in pain on many parts of my body. I again asked them for my detention order, but they paid me no attention.
