Human Right Activist Huang Qi received 3 years of sentence

Cheng Du district court held a hearing on Sichuan human right activist Huang Qi's case yesterday morning. Huang Qi was charged with "illegally obtaining national securities" and was given 3 years of sentence.  His attorney predicted an appeal in 10 days.

Police arrested supporters and petitioners who were at scene backing up Huang Qi.

No court verdict was provided to the activist's family.
