Chongqing Communist Party Boss Will Not Assume Shanghai Leadership Position

Boxun reports that--contrary to speculation in Hong Kong media--Chongqing Communist Party boss Bo Xilai will not be named Communist Party chief of Shanghai. Of course this is the princeling's dream, but I believe it will not happen for the following reasons: Since he has taken over in Chongqing, he has presided over one disaster after another: First a policeman beat a street peddler to death. Then the city's cab drivers went on strike. Then those relocated by the Three Gorges dam created a disturbance. Then on May 30 30 died in a coal mine accident at Tonghua mine. Then on June 5 a mud slide killed 74 people, and finally there is the scandal with the Chongqing student falsely registering for the college entrance exam under false ethnic nationality identification. What Politburo Standing Committee member would support Bo for promotion to the more important job of Shanghai Communist Party chief?
