Beijing News Office Bans Deng Yujiao Murder Case Coverage and Commentary

Boxun reports that on Friday May 22 the Beijing News Office ordered all websites under its control to immediately cease any further reporting or commenting on the controversial murder case involving the young masseuse Deng Yujiao and the Communist Party boss Deng Guida who reportedly sexually attacked her. Because most major Chinese websites are registered in Beijing, this ban is seen as being initiated by the State Council Information Office and therefore a central government rather than local government-initiated ban.
