Mr. Gong Shengli is a productive writer, his articles have covered social issues in China, he was selected as one of the 100 most influential intellectuals in 2006. But his life is at risk now.

Mr. Gong used to be very healthy until diagnosed a serious heart problem.   Mr. Gong had a surgery earlier this year, which left his family heavy debt. The surgery is not completed yet, doctor recommends him to have next heart surgery ASAP, but Mr. Gong does not have money to do it.
