In October, 2007, one official from China was video taped when he was having sex wiht a prostitute in Thailand. Another one in last month, then China started to arrest who recorded the crime.

On April 27, 2008, Boxun published pictures that show the director of Highway Bureau of Ningbo was shopping prostitutes in Thailand. It is a common knowledge that Chinese officials travel overseas by spending tax payers money, which is about $40 billion a year (according to official number). It is also common for officials to buy sex in Thailand and other countries, and the expense will be reimbursed.

Boxun's news embarrased the officials, the government did not punish the officials committed crime but started to go after the people taped the videos.

At least one has been arrested in China, and others are hiding around as refugees in Thailand. It seems that China has given Thailand pressure. so both local police and officials from Chinese consulate are trying to arrest reporters for Boxun.
