Boxun reports that on July 1 in Beijing, on the 88th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party, all was quiet on Tiananmen Square and in front of the Communist Party headquarters at Xinhuamen, but petitioners were active at the south Beijing complaints reception office of the Communist Party Central Committee, State Council, and National Peoples Congress. A large number of security officers were on hand, and there were reports of arrests of some petitioners.
